Project Overviewx

The Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) has undertaken a Smart Health Facilities Programme implemented in seven Caribbean Countries including Jamaica. The program’s stated aim is to “provide safer, greener health facilities to deliver care in disasters”. Sites were selected and analyzed to determine their needs for ‘safety’ and ‘greenness’ utilizing the philosophy that “SAFE + GREEN = SMART”. Alvair was engaged to conduct detailed inspections and designs at four (4) sites in Jamaica, comprising Gayle, Albert Town, Darliston and Catherine Hall Health Centres. As well as the construction supervision of Mandeville and Santa Cruz Health centres
