Project Overviewx
The United Nations Office for Projects Services (UNOPS) and Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) were collaborating to provide support to the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Trinidad and Tobago in the design of a regional health facility that would function as a central office and laboratory facility for the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the National Public Health Laboratories (NHPL) and the National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS). The building will co-locate all three health agencies within a 100,000 sq. ft. modern facility at a central location in Trinidad with easy access to the main highways and arterial roads. Alvair was engaged to provide a variety of engineering and project management support services.
