The Brix Hotel is located at Colblentz Avenue, Cascade, Port of Spain, Trinidad. Formerly known as the Carlton Savannah Hotel, the property is being refurbished and upgraded to the newly rebranded Brix Hotel. The Brix is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection, an evolving ensemble of independent hotels. The new hotel is targeted at the business traveler and will feature larger rooms and a host of amenities. The renovation involved both interior and exterior upgrades and conversion of the hotel.

Alvair provided structural engineering support to the hotel renovation project. Some of our work included structural evaluations, structural retrofit to some components of the building to facilitate new architectural arrangements, and the structural design of new architectural comments and their supports.
